R. T. Smith’s most recent book Outlaw Style (Arkansas) received the 2008 Library of Virginia Prize for Poetry. His work has appeared in Best American Poetry, Best American Short Stories and The Pushcart Prize Anthology. Smith is currently working on a collection focused on Flannery O’Connor’s last years and called The Red Wolf. He edits Shenandoah for Washington and Lee University.
