Emily A. Benton is an assistant poetry editor for storySouth. Her poems can be found in Yemassee, Cellpoems, Marco Polo, Kestrel, and other journals. She holds degrees from Queens University of Charlotte and the MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro, where she also edited poetry for The Greensboro Review. A native of Tennessee, she now lives on the Big Island of Hawai`i with her partner, fiction writer Spencer Kealamakia, two housecats, and a porch colony of geckos.
