Kathryn A. Brackett holds a M.F.A. in fiction from the University of Pittsburgh. Her work appears in Expecting Goodness & Other Stories, an anthology of fiction chosen by C. Michael Curtis, senior editor of The Atlantic magazine, and runner-up in the Independent Publisher IPPY Awards for the top collection of short fiction in North America in 2009. Other honors include recognition in The Writers’ Workshop, the Carrie McCray Memorial Literary Awards, the Stony Brook Short Fiction Prize, and a story nomination in Best New American Voices 2008. Recently, her fiction placed third in WordHustler’s 2011 Page to Screen Short Story Contest. Her work is forthcoming in Mythium: The Journal of Contemporary Literature.
