Jesse Lee Kercheval’s most recent books are Brazil (CSU Poetry Center, 2010), which won the Ruthanne Wiley Memorial Novella Prize; Cinema Muto, a collection of poems about silent film (SIU Press, 2009) which won a Crab Orchard Open Selection Prize; and The Alice Stories (U of Nebraska Press, 2007) which won the Prairie Schooner Fiction Book Prize. She is currently living in Montevideo, Uruguay.
