Author Biography
Charlotte Pence Charlotte Pence is a Ph.D. candidate in creative writing at the University of Tennessee and former editor of Grist: The Journal for Writers. She has most recently received the Discovered Voices 2009 award. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Southern Review, North American Review, Prairie Schooner, Kenyon Review Online, Denver Quarterly, RATTLE, Tar River, Iron Horse, and many other journals. She also has a book forthcoming with University Press of Mississippi that she will edit on the similarities and separations between poems and songs as well as a textbook written for creative writers teaching composition entitled The Writer’s Path.
