Valerie Wallace’s poems appear most recently in Margie, Rhino, Potomac, Valparaiso Review, Court Green, Santa Clara Review, and Drumvoices Revue. She has an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has received awards from the Illinois Arts Council and Illinois Center for the Book, and was a finalist for the Margie J. Wilson Poetry Award. She has received fellowships from Writers in the Heartland and Squaw Valley Community of Writers. She leads poetry workshops throughout Chicago through the Neighborhood Writing Alliance and at the Hyde Park Art Center.
